North India to be covered in dense fog and a chilly wave: 5 updates
Visibility lowered down to sub-zero level in some parts. Flight and train services disrupted due to low visibility of around 50 metres. India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the duration fog, its intensity and area it covered have significantly reduced today as forecasted earlier.
Cold to severe cold wave conditions were also experienced yesterday in parts of north India. Rainfall and thunderstorm were also observed in many place across southern India along with some northeastern states, according to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Forecast for the region is expected to improve today.
Similar conditions will also be witnessed over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
