The Vande Bharat Express, also known as the Train 18, was stoned on its second day of operation in West Bengal. No injuries were reported.

The Train 18 was inaugurated on February 15 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is India’s first semi-high speed train and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h.

The train was stoned near the town of Mirzapur, around 100 km from Kolkata. The incident occurred at around 10 pm when the train was passing through the town.

The Vande Bharat Express is operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). It runs between Delhi and Varanasi and is expected to reduce travel time by about 10 hours.
