There is a severe power outage in Karachi, one of Pakistan’s biggest cities. Due to a problem with the transmission lines, Pakistan experienced a significant power outage that left major cities without energy.

“Multiple outages have been reported from various locations throughout the city. We are looking into the matter and will update this area, “said K-Electric spokesperson Imran Rana in a tweet.

Pakistan’s Geo News claimed that some locations in Karachi and Lahore were without electricity, confirming the situation.

Pakistani journalist Asad Ali Toor tweeted, “#BREAKING: Countrywide power break down since 7:30am in #Pakistan.”

According to Quetta Electric Supply Company, the two transmission lines from Guddu to Quetta tripped (QESCO). According to the firm, Quetta and 22 other Baloch districts lack electricity, as reported by Geo News.

This month, Pakistan unveiled a new energy conservation strategy as the nation’s ailing economy continues to face several difficulties and its foreign exchange reserves have fallen to dangerously low levels.

Pakistan experienced a significant power outage earlier in October of last year that left large portions of the nation without energy for more than 12 hours, including the provincial capitals of Karachi and Lahore.
