POCO X6 Neo 5G With 5000mAh Battery: Check Out The Specifications And Additional Features
Today, Poco introduced the Neo phone, which offers some amazing features for its cost in the X6 family. The company claims that this is the thinnest Poco smartphone ever. The phone’s display was, at least, the most intriguing element that attracted our attention. You won’t find this kind of consistent, narrow bezel all over a phone that costs less than Rs. 20,000. Having used the Poco X6 Neo 5G for a few days, this is our initial impression of the device.
To begin with, the Poco X6 Neo’s front is superior to its back in terms of design. There isn’t a thick chin here because Poco was able to consistently reduce the bezels on both sides. The remarkable screen-to-body ratio of 93.30 percent is being advertised by the firm. While the top and bottom bezels measure 2 mm and 2.5 mm, respectively, the left and right bezels are only 1.5 mm thin.
Full-HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate are features of the display. It’s a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The top has a hole-punch cutout designed to accommodate the selfie camera. This is a great panel for gaming and content consumption. In our comprehensive evaluation, we’ll be thoroughly evaluating the display.
Turning around, the back panel is made of plastic and has a marble-like finish that changes color depending on the light hitting it. The Poco X6 Neo Martian Orange model that we are utilizing seems to have a pattern on the back panel that is meant to mimic the surface of Mars.
One of the two cameras in the arrangement has a 108-megapixel main sensor. I did test the camera, and it seems to capture decent images during the day. We will be testing the cameras once more in our comprehensive review, so be sure to check it out. A rectangular module resembling the other Poco X6 series phones is positioned above the cameras. Despite its size, the handset is comfortable to grip thanks to its smooth edges and minimal taper. It also seems like plastic was used to make the frame.
The smartphone’s connection features include dual-band Wi-Fi, 5G dual SIM support, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C port at the bottom, and an IR blaster at the top. Additionally, it receives an IP54 grade for water and dust resistance. The phone’s right side houses the power and volume keys, the latter of which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. My fingerprint was promptly registered and the scanner functioned well. The X6 Neo from Poco just has one speaker, but it does have a 3.5mm headphone port on top.
The Poco X6 Neo’s hardware consists of a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC with 256GB of storage and up to 12GB of RAM. We have only been using the phone for a few days, but overall it has been fast with the occasional latency. To find out how well the phone does in daily tasks, we’ll need to use it more and run some benchmarks and games. Will it get hotter when you play a lot of games? To find out, you’ll have to wait for the complete review.
The Poco X6 Neo’s software is pre-installed with MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. Four years of security patches and two years of Android updates are provided by the corporation. It’s frustrating to see the Neo running Android 13 while the majority of phones—including the other phones in the Poco X6 series—are running Android 14. The phone has a ton of bloatware as well, but we’ll explore them in detail or ignore them throughout the review.
The X6 Neo from Poco comes with a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at 33W quickly. It’s wonderful that the charger is included in the package as well. With a starting price of Rs. 15,999, the phone’s display and 108-megapixel rear camera are its most notable features. How will the phone perform in comparison to its rivals? The complete review, which should be released soon, will tell us.
