The Amravati and Udaipur killings were stopped from spreading by the Rapid NIA action. This was a very important move by the NIA and it prevented the killings from becoming a larger problem.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed two murder cases with alleged blasphemy being the sole motive. The NIA charge-sheets filed on Friday relate to murders in Amravati in Maharashtra and Udaipur in Rajasthan.

The NIA has taken over the murder of chemist Umesh Kolhe in Amravati and beheaded tailor Kanhiya Lal in Udaipur. Both murders took place after alleged blasphemy by a former BJP spokesperson was spot-lighted by global Islamists on social media.
