Scindia provides a “key reason” for why Delhi airport congestion has decreased.

Since the Ministry of Civil Aviation implemented the three-hour window for domestic departures at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport in August, the average number of flights has gone up and the airport has been able to handle more flights.

The reason for this is that the three-hour window allows for a better flow of aircraft, both in terms of take-offs and landings.

The move has been particularly beneficial for SpiceJet, which has been able to increase its flight frequency on various routes.

The airline’s chairman and managing director, Ajay Singh, has even gone so far as to call the three-hour window a “game-changer”.

So far, the results have been positive and it appears that the three-hour window is here to stay.
