Serentica Renewables, a new clean energy platform founded by KKR and Sterlite Power,
Global investment company KKR has partnered with Vedanta Group’s newly established unit Serentica Renewables to develop a new energy platform that seeks to aid large industrial clients in their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint, the two parties announced in a joint statement on Tuesday.
In exchange for an unknown equity share, KKR will invest $400 million in the platform, and Sterlite Group companies will contribute $100 million.
Serentica Renewables is a fully-owned subsidiary of Volcan-owned Twinstar Overseas Limited.
