SUV-bus collision in Navsari, Gujarat, results in 9 deaths and numerous injuries.
At least nine people were killed in a collision between a bus and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Gujarat’s Navsari district. Accident occurred on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway, police said.
Eight of the nine people travelling in an SUV and the driver of a luxury bus died on the spot, police said. Those travelling in the SUV were from Ankleshwar and were on their way back to their hometown from Valsad. The passengers of the bus hailed from Navsari.
PM Narendra Modi announces ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased. Those injured will be given Rs. 50,000. Prime Minister’s Office said that an ex-Gratia from PMNRF would be given to the victims’ families.
