The Bharat Jodo Yatra will pass through riot-affected districts in 2020.
Rahul Gandhi will resume his Bharat Jodo Yatra on January 3 from Delhi’s Yamuna Bazar. The Wayanad MP will march through areas affected during the 2020 riots, including Maujpur, Seelampur and Gokalpuri. Officials aware of the details of the march said some of the areas affected by the riots will be in north-east Delhi.
Bharat Jodo Yatra to resume on January 3 after nine-day break. It will enter Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh from the Loni border on the same day. These areas are among the most crime-prone areas in the city, in terms of street crime.
Leaders of the Delhi Congress met top police officers on Friday ahead of the party’s rally in the national capital. The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Delhi Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Intelligence Bureau and District Deputy Commissioners of East and Northeast Delhi.
