Anand Mohan Singh was sentenced to death for murder of G Krishnaiah. At four in the morning on Thursday, Anand Mohan Singh was freed from Saharsa Jail in Bihar.
Singh released from Saharsa Jail on recommendation of Bihar state sentence remission council. The IAS body urged the Bihar government to reconsider its decision to release Singh and other convicts. Amendment of an existing classification that leads to the release of a convicted killer of a public servant on duty is a denial of justice. The Bihar government removed a clause banning remission for killing government officials.
