The Supreme Court has declined to halt the Raj-Adani mining project in Gujarat, saying that it “won’t get in the way of growth.” The project has been opposed by environmentalists, who say it will damage the environment and displace tribals. The court said that it was not convinced that the project would have a “significant adverse impact” on the environment.

India’s top court has dismissed a plea to stall a coal mining project in Rajasthan. A joint venture between the state government and Adani Enterprises for the state’s power plants. The court said that it is open to decide all disputes finally, but will not issue an interim order.
