The Sensex drops 215 points after the repo rate hike, and the Nifty closes at 18,560.
The Sensex and Nifty both dropped today after the Reserve Bank of India hiked the repo rate by 35 basis points. The Sensex fell 215 points to close at 62,410, while the Nifty dropped 82 points to close at 18,560. This is the second time in two weeks that the RBI has hiked the repo rate, and it is widely expected that there will be at least one more rate hike before the end of the year.
