Today, FM Sitharaman will present appropriations legislation to Parliament.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will today present the appropriations bill in Parliament. This is a key legislation that enables the government to withdraw money from the Consolidated Fund of India to meet its expenditure. The bill will be presented to the Lok Sabha, where Sitharaman is a member.
The Appropriation Bills (Nos. 4 and 5) will seek nod for the payment and appropriation of amounts from the Consolidated Funds of India for the current fiscal. The bills will also seek to get the Anti-Piracy Maritime Bill passed in the Lok Sabha.
