Since the Pulwama attack in February, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of cricket between India and Pakistan. However, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has said that tournaments keep coming and going, and that the cricketing world is “used to” the situation.

Jaishankar also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he is the “voice of the world” on the issue of terrorism. He said that Modi has been very clear in his condemnation of the Pulwama attack and that the world is now “waking up” to the reality of terrorism.

The Minister’s comments come as the International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to meet in Dubai later this month to discuss the future of the sport in the region. India is set to play Pakistan in the Asia Cup in September, but it is not clear if the match will go ahead.
