Update on delays and appointment time for the US visa interview in India
The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India have been experiencing significant delays in scheduling visa interviews. We understand that many applicants are eager to receive their visas and travel to the United States. We appreciate your patience as we work to return to our normal interview schedule.
As a result of the current delays, we are only scheduling interview appointments for applicants who have an urgent need to travel. If you do not have an urgent need to travel, we ask that you reschedule your interview appointment.
If you have an urgent need to travel, please contact us at least three weeks in advance of your planned travel date to request an interview appointment. Please note that even with an urgent request, we may not be able to accommodate your preferred interview date and time.
