Virat Kohli’s mid-pitch gesture is overshadowed by Dravid’s raucous celebrations as Ishan Kishan sets a world record with 210.

It was an electric atmosphere at the Eden Gardens as Ishan Kishan took to the crease to start his innings. The young batsman had already made a name for himself with a couple of big knocks in the tournament, but he was up against a tough Kolkata Knight Riders bowling attack.

Virat Kohli, who was batting at the other end, started off the innings cautiously, but opened up as the overs progressed. The Indian captain was in fine form, hitting some beautiful shots all around the park.

However, it was Ishan Kishan who stole the show, with a sensational innings of 210. The left-hander was severe on the KKR bowlers, hitting them to all parts of the ground. His innings was studded with 18 fours and 12 sixes.

What made the innings even more special was the fact that he broke the world record for the highest score by a batsman in a Twenty20 innings. The previous record was held by Chris Gayle, who had scored 175 not out for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Pune Warriors in 2013.
