Ishan Kishan, who is currently playing for the Indian cricket team in the Ranji Trophy, was in for a shock when a spectator yelled out, “Rishabh Pant ka accident ho gaya,” during the game.
The young wicket-keeper batsman was clearly taken aback by the comment and was seen shaking his head in disbelief.
This is not the first time that a Ranji Trophy game has been marred by such unsavoury incidents. In the past, there have been instances of spectators hurling abuse at players and even throwing objects onto the field.
It is high time that the authorities take strict action against such spectators and ensure that the players are able to focus on the game without having to worry about their safety.
