Arvind Kejriwal as 2 defendants obtain bail in case of Delhi liquor scandal being fraudulent, even the court says so

Published

on

The recent decision of a Delhi court to grant bail to Arvind Kejriwal and two other defendants in a case related to the alleged fraudulent issuance of licenses for the sale of liquor in the city has sparked controversy and criticism.

The case, which dates back to 2017, involves allegations of corruption and irregularities in the issuance of licenses for the sale of liquor in Delhi. The defendants, including Kejriwal, who is the Chief Minister of Delhi and the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, were accused of being involved in the scam.

However, the court, while granting bail, has stated that there is no evidence to suggest that Kejriwal or the other defendants were involved in the fraud. The court also noted that the prosecution has failed to produce any concrete evidence to support its claims.

The decision to grant bail to the defendants has been met with mixed reactions, with some people praising the court’s decision and others criticizing it. Some people believe that the court’s decision is a victory for justice and that the defendants have been wrongly accused, while others feel that the decision is a setback for the fight against corruption in India.

The case has also highlighted the need for greater transparency and accountability in the issuance of licenses and permits in India. Corruption and irregularities in the issuance of licenses and permits are rampant in many parts of the country, and cases like this only serve to undermine public trust in the system.

It is important that the government takes steps to address corruption and irregularities in the system and restore public trust in the system.

This is the last day of Arvind Kejriwal’s ED remand. Details of the liquor “scam” would be disclosed by Delhi CM in court?

Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, announced on March 27 that he will reveal the details of an alleged liquor scam in court today.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to appear in court on March 28 after his Enforcement Directorate custodial remand ends. Kejriwal, who is also the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, is expected to reveal the truth about the “Denmark liquor scam,” according to his wife Sunita Kejriwal.

The Delhi high court is set to hear a public interest litigation (PIL) requesting Arvind Kejriwal’s removal as Delhi chief minister, with the bench consisting of Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora.

Sunita Kejriwal announced that her husband, Kejriwal, will reveal details of an alleged liquor scam in court on Thursday and provide evidence.

During a meeting with the central agency in ED custody, he revealed that over 250 raids have been conducted in the last two years regarding the “so-called liquor scam,” but no paisa has been found.

The ED searched Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Satyendar Jain’s residences, but no money was found. The CM’s residence was searched, and the money was questioned about the “litrum scam”.

The ED has conducted over 250 raids in the liquor scam, but no money has been found. Arvind Kejriwal plans to reveal the money and provide proof in court on March 28.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in connection with an alleged money laundering case linked to the excise policy.

The Delhi High Court has issued notice to the Enforcement Directorate regarding Arvind Kejriwal’s petition challenging his arrest and ED remand, but has not provided immediate relief.

Delhi education minister Atishi praised the high court’s decision, stating that the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal is not legal, undemocratic, or politically motivated, a statement that has been echoed by the Aam Aadmi Party, opposition members, and the INDIA bloc.

The High Court (HC) has deemed the arrest politically motivated and potentially undemocratic, prompting the ED to be issued a notice to investigate, according to Atishi.

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma has issued notice on the AAP leader’s petition challenging his arrest and remand to the ED’s custody, requesting the agency to respond and his plea for interim relief of release before April 2.

The judge has stated that the matter will be resolved on April 3 and no adjournment will be granted.

The INDIA bloc is scheduled to hold a “maha rally” at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on March 31 to protect the country’s interests and democracy.

Union Minister Smriti Irani has criticized Kejriwal for allegedly engaging in a liquor scam and has expressed his reluctance to face any investigation against himself.

Irani alleged that the Supreme Court has found a money trail in a liquor scam, and that AAP used the looted funds for Goa and Punjab election campaigns, skipping nine summonses issued by the ED.

Union minister Anurag Thakur criticized Kejriwal, while Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva called for the AAP leader to resign as the chief minister of Delhi.

As MI captain suffers the fury of SRH, Rohit Sharma assumes command and sends Hardik Pandya to the boundary in a famous role-reversal.

Published

on

Rohit Sharma made calls, instructing Hardik Pandya on the field for the SRH vs MI IPL 2024 match.

Two days after a viral video of Hardik Pandya instructing Rohit Sharma on fielding, the situation changed on Wednesday evening. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s aggressive performance led to Rohit taking over as captain. While Hardik remained captain, Rohit made calls, set the field, and chatted with bowlers, reminiscent of the old days, as Hardik ran out of ideas.

Rohit Sharma took control of the match against Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, reverting to his captaincy hat and making changes in the field. The video captured shows MI running for cover against Head and Sharma’s onslaught, showcasing the perfect role reversal in the match.

The game was a thrilling one with over 500 runs scored, 38 sixes hit, and the highest team total in an IPL match, breaking the 11-year record set by Royal Challengers Bengaluru. MI responded with the highest IPL total in a chase, but fell short by 31 runs, finishing with 246/5.

Head and Sharma took 19 and 17 balls respectively to score fiftys, with Head holding the record for the fastest fifty by an SRH batter. Sharma soon improved the record. The pitch at Uppal was ideal for batters, but the carnage unfolded unexpectedly. By the halfway stage, SRH were at 148/1, the highest IPL score at the end of 10 overs, causing a pandemonium that blew MI away.

SRH’s batting was the closest the world came to experiencing a repeat of Chris Gayle’s 2013 Chinnaswamy match. Cricket websites struggled to provide live updates as every second ball was carted away for six. The only difference is that back then, it was a one-man show, while today, all SRH batters had fun at the expense of MI.

Head hit a 24-ball 62, Sharma hit a 23-ball 63, and Heinrich Klaasen’s unbeaten 80 off 34 set SRH a record. Aiden Markram’s 42 not out off 28 at a strike-rate of 150 was also noteworthy, as it was a bonkers performance.

MI dominated the match with a strong performance, raising their fifty in three overs with Ishan Kishan and Rohit. Kishan hit a hat-trick of sixes against Bhuvneshwar Kumar, while Rohit maintained the pace with his powerful hitting. Tilak Varma also contributed with three consecutive sixes off Shahbaz Ahmed, bringing up a half-century off 24 balls.

The asking rate was too high, causing pressure on Naman Dhir and Tilak. Pandya joined Tilak, but Hardik slowed down, and Tilak perished. Tim David tried with 42 not out off 22 balls, but failed.
